Eligibility and permitted customers
You may place an order only if you are at least 18 years old, legally capable of entering into a binding contract, and purchasing solely for legitimate laboratory research carried out in compliance with applicable law.
By ordering, you confirm that you have the facilities, competence, safeguards and authority appropriate to receive, store, handle and dispose of the products safely. We may request evidence of identity, age, organisation, research purpose, competence or regulatory authority. We may refuse or cancel an order where we cannot verify eligibility or reasonably suspect unlawful, unsafe or prohibited use.
-
Research use only restrictions
All peptides, reference materials, bacteriostatic water and related compounds offered on the website are supplied exclusively as laboratory research materials, unless a product page expressly states otherwise.
You must not use, sell, supply, recommend, promote or make available any product:
• for human or animal consumption, ingestion, injection, inhalation, topical application or administration by any other route;
• as, or as an ingredient in, a medicine, medicinal product, food, food supplement, cosmetic, medical device or veterinary product;
• for diagnosis, treatment, cure, mitigation, monitoring or prevention of any disease, injury or medical condition;
• in clinical treatment, self-experimentation, bodybuilding, weight management, performance enhancement or any other personal use;
• for resale or onward supply for any prohibited purpose; or
• in breach of any law, regulation, licence condition, professional duty or institutional policy.
You must not relabel, repackage or market a product in a way that suggests it is approved, safe or suitable for human or veterinary use. A research-use label or disclaimer does not remove your obligation to comply with the law.
-
Regulatory status and website information
Unless expressly stated otherwise, products are not authorised medicines and have not been approved by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, the European Medicines Agency, the United States Food and Drug Administration or another medicines regulator for human or veterinary use.
Product descriptions, certificates, test results, research summaries, references and other website content are provided for general laboratory information only. They are not medical advice, prescribing information, dosing guidance, instructions for administration, or a representation that a product is safe or effective for any clinical or personal purpose.
Research findings may be preliminary, incomplete, based on laboratory or animal studies, or not reproducible in humans. You are responsible for independently assessing whether a product and any information supplied are suitable for your lawful research purpose.
-
Products and availability
We take reasonable care to describe products accurately. Images are illustrative, and packaging, labels, colour and appearance may vary without affecting the product specification. Product availability is not guaranteed.
We may withdraw, replace or limit products; impose order limits; or correct errors in descriptions, prices or availability. If an error affects an order already placed, we will contact you and offer the option to proceed on the corrected basis or cancel for a refund.
-
Orders and formation of the contract
Submitting an order is an offer to purchase. An automated acknowledgement confirms receipt but does not mean that we have accepted the order. A binding contract is formed only when we send dispatch confirmation, unless we expressly confirm acceptance earlier.
We may reject or cancel an order before dispatch for reasons including lack of stock, payment failure, suspected fraud, incorrect pricing, delivery restrictions, regulatory concerns or suspected prohibited use. If payment has been taken for a cancelled order, we will refund the amount paid using the original payment method.
-
Prices payment and taxes
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable, unless the website states otherwise. Delivery charges and any other applicable charges will be shown before checkout.
Payment must be authorised at checkout. You confirm that you are entitled to use the chosen payment method and that all billing information is accurate. We may use payment and fraud-prevention providers to verify transactions.
-
Delivery
Available delivery methods, estimated times and charges are displayed at checkout. Estimates are not guarantees. For consumer orders, we will deliver without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is formed unless another period is agreed.
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address and for ensuring that an eligible person can accept the parcel. We may restrict delivery locations or require tracked delivery, identification or signature.
For consumers, risk passes when the goods come into the physical possession of you or a person identified by you, other than a carrier you independently commissioned. For business customers, risk passes on delivery to the address supplied or collection by your nominated carrier. Ownership passes only after full payment has cleared.
If packaging appears damaged, photograph it before opening and contact us promptly. This does not reduce your statutory rights.
-
Storage handling and disposal
You must follow the product label, batch-specific documentation and any written storage or safety instructions supplied where applicable. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate temperature control, security, segregation, records, personal protective equipment and disposal procedures after delivery.
Do not use a product if its seal is broken, its identity is uncertain, or it appears damaged or contaminated. Isolate it and contact us. Products must be kept away from children, vulnerable persons and unauthorised users.
-
Consumer cancellation rights
If you are a consumer buying online, you normally have the right to cancel from the date the contract is formed until 14 days after the day you receive the goods. To cancel, send a clear statement to our customer service email before the cancellation period expires.
After notifying us, you must return the goods within 14 days. Unless the goods are faulty, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming, you are responsible for the direct cost of return. You must take reasonable care of the goods and may be responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
We will refund the price and the cost of our least expensive standard delivery method within 14 days after we receive the returned goods or you provide evidence of return, whichever occurs first. We may withhold the refund until then. Refunds will use the original payment method unless agreed otherwise.
The statutory right to cancel may not apply where a legal exception applies, including goods made to your specification or clearly personalised, goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, or sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed. We will rely on an exception only where it lawfully applies and the relevant condition has been clearly disclosed before purchase.
-
Returns faults and order issues
Please inspect the order promptly and contact us with the order number, batch or lot details, photographs and a description of the issue if goods are damaged, incorrect, missing, faulty or not as described.
Consumer goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for any purpose made known to us and accepted by us. Your statutory remedies may include rejection, refund, repair or replacement, depending on the circumstances and timing. Nothing in these terms restricts those rights.
Do not return chemical or research materials without instructions from us. This is for safe handling and does not prevent you from exercising a legal right. We may provide a return method or request safe disposal where return would create a safety or regulatory risk.
-
Business customers
If you purchase wholly or mainly for purposes relating to your trade, business, craft or profession, you are a business customer. Consumer cancellation rights do not apply to business purchases.
Business customers warrant that orders are placed by an authorised representative and that products will be used only by trained personnel in an appropriately controlled laboratory. Except where prohibited by law, any implied terms as to quality, fitness or correspondence with description are excluded only to the extent legally permitted.
-
Intellectual property and acceptable website use
The website and its original text, graphics, branding, photographs, layout and other content are owned by or licensed to us and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may view and print reasonable extracts for personal or internal research-administration purposes. You must not reproduce, scrape, republish, sell, alter or commercially exploit website content without written permission.
You must not interfere with the website, introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorised access, circumvent security, submit false information or use the website for unlawful or fraudulent activity.
-
Third party services and links
The website may use or link to third-party payment, delivery, analytics or external information services. We are not responsible for independent third-party websites or their content, availability or privacy practices. Use of a third-party service may be subject to its own terms.
-
Privacy and cookies
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Our Cookie Policy or cookie notice explains the cookies and similar technologies used by the website and the choices available to you. Those policies should be read alongside these terms.
-
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
If you are a consumer, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for business losses, loss arising from prohibited or unlawful use, or loss that was not foreseeable when the contract was formed.
If you are a business customer, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, anticipated savings, data, goodwill, reputation, research opportunity or any indirect or consequential loss. Subject to the liabilities that cannot be limited, our total aggregate liability arising from an order will not exceed the amount paid for the products giving rise to the claim.
You remain responsible for research design, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, storage, handling, testing, onward supply and disposal. We are not liable for loss caused by use contrary to these terms or supplied instructions, except to the extent that the law does not allow that liability to be excluded.
-
Events outside our reasonable control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, including transport disruption, severe weather, utility or communications failure, industrial action, supplier interruption, public-health measures, regulatory action or changes in law. We will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect and will contact affected customers where practicable. Consumer rights relating to delayed or failed delivery remain unaffected.
-
Suspension termination and refusal of service
We may suspend access, refuse service or cancel unfulfilled orders where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, a transaction presents a legal or safety risk, or continued service could expose us or another person to harm or liability. Any refund due will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
-
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in law, regulation, products or business practices. The version published when an order is accepted normally applies to that order. Changes will not retrospectively reduce accrued statutory or contractual rights.
-
Transfer severability and waiver
We may transfer our rights and obligations under a contract where this does not reduce a consumer's rights. You may transfer your rights only with our written consent, except where the law permits otherwise.
If any provision is held unlawful or unenforceable, it will be treated as modified to the minimum extent necessary or removed, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of that right.
-
Third party rights
A person who is not a party to the contract has no right under the Contracts Rights of Third Parties Act 1999 to enforce these terms, except where these terms expressly state otherwise.
-
Governing law and disputes
These terms and any non-contractual dispute are governed by the law of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live, and nothing in these terms removes any mandatory protection provided by the law of your country of residence. If you are a business customer, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
Please contact us first so that we can try to resolve a complaint directly.
